Port Side

At first i was enjoying painting all the colour and vibrancy-especially after the dreary darkness of my last piece, but then i got bored and wanted to move on to something else....Killzone!Mwahaha!So i leave it here, don't want to overwork it too much-if i'd add anything it be a structure right in the forground!

A dragon-guarded underground vault...

Ok i usually like to paint a lot looser with paintings but on this one i thought i'd go with a more detailed one for a change. The lightings not perfect but the more arches i added in the more trouble i found myself in. I went a little mad with waterfall on the right-i'm glad i put it in, but i think its slightly too bright(i'll probably have another stab at painting water next as this was my first attempt) In hindsight a proper tech drawing first would have been better as a lot of the perspective is made up in places and the arches aren't all exactly the same-but i know for next time...

Quick colour skecth...

Was planning on doing a piece based on the underground vaults of gringotts bank(Harry Potter) for a while now, so i figured i'd pull my finger out now that i've just began my unemployment.Its just a colour/lighting sketch-took around 45mins i guess, will most likely do a more detailed painting now i've got this to work from...
